James also regularly performs as his comic character 'The Comedy Inspector' at regular comedy clubs including sets at The Riviera Fringe Festival. His work as a compare includes presenting awards at The South West Music Awards two years in a row (2012 & 2013), The Big Night Out a charity event at The Thistle Hotel, Exeter with Shane Richie (Eastenders) and various events including corporate lunches at Sandy Park and The Devon County Show. DBS checked drama workshop teacher with experience working both with adults, children and children with special requirements. He currently works at a school in Exeter as a teaching assistant and playworker. His agent is Act Now and Patrick Management. The Edinburgh Fringe awarding winning actor David Benson has described me as “a young comedian to watch and a sure fire star of tomorrow” and star of Channel 4's The Comic Strip Presents Al Pillay has said of me “James Cotter and his charactorful eek reminds me of David Walliams and like Walliams, James has a big talent that must be utilised!
